Nice place to stay when visiting Delhi

When in Delhi, one of the places I like to stay at  is Amarya Haveli, a small boutique Bed and Breakfast in an upmarket enclave called Hauz Khaz. Amarya is part of a small chain of Bed and Breakfast owned by a French couple and you can see where east meets west and it works very well. The 6 rooms have been stylishly decorated with individual themes reflecting India and with all the comforts you need.

There is the pink room which is influenced by the Pink City in Jaipur, the blue room which reflects Jodhpur with a Buddha sculpture, or a red and silver room (a little bit of Bollywood). Trendy Hauz Khaz village (which has great shopping) is a pleasant walk through a green park – Delhi is well planned with large parks and big tree lined malls (of course this depends on which part of Delhi you are staying in).

So if you’re travelling to Delhi and want a nice place to stay, I’d highly recommend Amarya Haveli – the rooms are cute and they also do a great breakfast!
