Keeping your wool Shawl or Scarf in great condition isn’t hard, but there are a few things you must do if you want to keep it looking great for years to come.

  2. If possible hand wash the garment, or use a gentle cycle on your machine. If you use a regular cycle on your machine you risk stretching or distorting the shape of the wool fibres

  3. Use a detergent designed for wool, or a baby/soft detergent. Using a harsh detergent can not only fade the colours, but it can also destroy the natural wool fibres
  4. NEVER spin dry – always drip dry!
  5. When you are hanging the scarf of shawl up, make sure you evenly distribute the weight – don’t hang it from a couple of pegs

If you follow my 10 simple tips you’ll have a beautiful looking scarf or shawl for years to come!
