A trip to India for Serena followed the sale of her Bed and Breakfast, one of Phillip Island’s most elegant guesthouses. Admired for her gift to turn dull into beautiful with her intrinsic style and deft eye, Serena sought to discover a new interest for her insatiable search for colourful fabrics.

A woman in love with textiles and frustrated with the predictable offerings in boutiques at home, her mission was to discover the elixir of colour in simple, elegant, wearable designs.  Her adventure to India led her to discover exotic masters of textile crafts and she came home with pieces that she wore and onlookers said, “where did you buy that, and where can we get it?”.

This was the beginning of Aashay; uncomplicated clothing for women who want to turn heads no matter their age.

Just like the flower that spawned the first natural dye, Aashay restores colour to the fabric of life.
