By focusing the phone on the drops of rain on the window it allowed the background scene to go out of focus providing this capture in one frame

It was a balance of finding the right break in the clouds as well as an interesting scene to photograph and when a small clearing occurred captured this image

A little later we turned back towards the airport and the other side of the plane was treated to the last bit of color in the sky on this fall evening

While walking though the sand dunes area near Stovepipe Wells, the hardpan is covered by the sand. However over time as the sand blows areas of the hardpan is shown giving transitions as seen i this photograph. Depending on how long the hardpan has been covered or in the harsh climate of Death Valley it will
