Simonside in Spring- Rothbury June known locally as "The Devil'sThis painting, "Simonside in Spring Rothbury" is of the slopes of Simonside at Easter time, when the distant fields begin to fill with early wheat and the hares perform their gymnastic mating dances. The trees are covered in pale pink and orange buds, ready to burst into bright blossom or fresh green leaves. It's a time of re awakenings, with the iconic skyline of Simonside as a backdrop. It would make a great companion piece to my other painting
