the Sky Blue Canteens are very hard to find and are one of the few datable examples to the indian wars and expansion westward which did not carry over to the Spanish American War like the rest of the 1878 Canteens without original paint

WW1 era or earlier complete with rubber buttons

The badge is entirely original to the cap and that can be seen with the lack of fading beneath the patch
