Noh masks were traditionally carved from a single piece of wood painted with natural pigments, designed to be used in comical theatre performances. The mask depicts a bunny eared geisha's face with a snake wrapped around her head. Of particular note is the stunningly intact colors of the painted wood. The mask is unsigned
