By positioning my camera so there were angles in the photo instead of straight on provided a stronger image to me

The skies were starting to clear as well which provided some definition into the clouds providing additional texture to the image

It is spring in Denver

but as I passed by the lake and noticed the steam rising the plan quickly changed
