These spoons were made by Thomas Chawner and date to around the 1780s. The spoons have a finely hand engraved bright cut designs around the handle, with a floral design down the center. Each spoon is engraved with a crest of an armoured arm holding a plant. The spoons are hallmarked on the stem with the lion passant for sterling silver, and a maker's mark of TC
