There is some minor surface wear

which is unusual to see on such an early American spoon

FINE 18th CENTURY GERMAN SILVER LADLE w/ WOOD HANDLE cloth string This piece was probably madePresented is very fine quality old silver ladle. This ladle has a very long wooden handle. The ladle has two hallmarks on the underside of the bowl. I believe this piece is German, but the hallmarks are not very clear and I cannot guarantee the country of origin. It is certainly continental European. The long zigzag mark is the assay test. This piece was probably made in the mid to late 1700s but could certainly be from the early 1800s. The interior
