it demands significant cellaring but pays enormous dividends in time

and is more fine and elegant than the other Trousseaux in our portfolio and is less rustic than Crinquand’s Ploussard

Georges Lignier & Fils Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru 2022 Valais The resulting wine is markedThe domaine owns a mere tenth of a hectare of Pinot Noir planted in the early 1960s in this relatively large grand cru. This Charmes Chambertin gives the impression of small berried fruit, with a subtly mineral inflected palate of taut tension and somewhat firm tannins; patience will be rewarded here. (50% new oak.)
