Helen's Hill The Smuggler Reserve Pinot Noir year_1990 This 2008 vintage was put12 x bottles. Aromatic and vivacious with dark cherries, spices, and pomegranate on the nose and palate. The Abel clone has several stories around its provenance, but what is not a story is the intense work behind this wine. The vines were cropped at 2kg per vine, which is on the lowest yielding spectrum for grape vines. In the mount, the balance between fruit, oak and is perfect, as is its length on the finish.
