Silver and Gold-in-Glass Set BODY AND BATH Ganesh ShanmugamMatrigold Gold in Glass Jewels are made with a similar technique as developed for the golden tiles on the Matrimandir. Pure gold leafs (24 karat) or silver leaves are placed between 2 layers of glass and fused while under vacuum. Once cooled, the fused tiles are cut by the artist Birgitta Volz, recombined and heated again to create the final shape. To get the colors, we fuse colored glass instead of clear glass on top of the gold or silver leaves. As
