The Furuya kiln is based in in Shigaraki, Shiga Prefecture, a region celebrated as one of Japans Six Ancient Kilns, giving its pottery a heritage rooted in centuries of Japanese ceramic tradition. The plates are formed into a softly scalloped flower shape and finished in an iron scatter glaze which creates
