Green Swirl Tokoname Teapot (Kyūsu) Mr. Lin Rui Fu This sencha from the SofuThis Tokoname kysu has stainless steel mesh inside the teapot near the spout. Kysu means "teapot" in Japanese. It is a smaller style teapot with a side handle to make it easy to pour with one hand. They are most commonly used for steeping green tea like Sencha and Gyokuro. Tokoname (meaning "smooth soil") is a famous type of traditional Japanese pottery dating back to the 12th century. It is produced in Tokoname City in Aichi Prefecture, Japan.
