It has a very Claire McCardell feel to me and is a wonderful example of early American casual but with a nit of a French chi flair

The fabric is a silk taffeta with ribbons of rilky rayon worked directly into the fabric

It plunges quite low if you leave it tied looser or you can cinch tighter so its not quite so scandalous

On the runway it was styled with a huge skirt and high collared white shirt. A deep navy supports the Military feel of this piece.
